My week experiment with Pescetarianism

I never thought this day would come - I've started a blog, AND I've begun my attempt to get back to healthy eating. I have been in a funk as of late, and I can't put my finger on the reason(s). Anywho, last night I naturally happened upon a recorded Oprah episode, with guest star Kathy Freston (a.k.a. Ms. Vegan). What an eye-opening 45 minutes!  I have officially been turned away from factory farms. Thank God I live in San Francisco, where the most beautiful, organic, sustainable produce is right at my fingertips. Oh, and did I also mention I am now a Farm Fresh To You-er?

So, back to this Pescetarianism business.... I'm challenging myself.  One week. No animals, birds, or mammal bi-products. That's right friends... I'm sticking to the real good stuff - F&V's, nuts, whole grains, beans and fish only. I am committed to turning to my keyboard when I'm dying for some milk chocolate or buttered toast.. here goes my 7 day journey as a novice pescetarian.

So far today I've had:
coffee w/ soy and a sprinkle of cinnamon
one navel orange
one braeburn apple
mixt greens salad w/ beets, avocado, zucchini, quinoa, and edamame
I caved and had a few sips of a diet pepsi!
